Determine your wants and needs
Consider your wants and needs when it comes to your new home. Start with easier questions like the number of bedrooms and bathrooms you’ll need. Then think more broadly about your preferences: Do you entertain at home? Do you work at home? Would you like a view? Keep asking questions until you form a picture of your ideal home in your mind.
Get pre-approved & set budget
As a first step, speak to your preferred bank to get a mortgage pre-approval. Then, use our mortgage calculator to determine a realistic budget. Then, visit your bank, credit union or mortgage broker to review your borrowing options.
Choose where to live
Explore our communities to see where Mattamy is building homes for you. Review our floorplans to find a home that meets your wants and needs. When you have found your dream home, contact our sales agents to make an appointment. We’re here to help!
Make the Purchase!
When you’re ready to purchase your home, make sure you have your cheque book, photo ID, and pre-approval documents handy when you meet with your sales agent. Then, you will sign your Agreement of Purchase and Sale. Congratulations on your new home purchase!

Your design studio experience starts here
Now you can start the process of personalizing your new home. After selecting your exterior style choices, you’ll proceed to the Design Studio, where our design experts help inspire and guide you through our curated interior design products and selections. We partner with popular brands to suggest fixtures, materials and colors to make your home an individual reflection of your style. This is where you get to make your new space your home.
Preparing for closing
It’s important to prepare for the closing of your new home. Here’s what you need to do:
- Secure a lawyer and ensure that they finalize all of your closing documents 2-5 days prior to your closing date.
- 1-2 weeks before your closing date: Make sure to contact all your utility companies to update them with your new home address.
- After closing date: If you chose to upgrade from our standard appliances package, you will be responsible for the delivery and installation of your appliances. Your deliveries must be scheduled for after your closing date.
- Notify Canada Post that you will be moving if you require a mail forwarding service.

After Hours Emergency Support
Your Warranty Service Team is pleased to assist you with all your warranty concerns during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. However, some problems that can arise outside of these hours will be considered “emergencies” and may require more immediate assistance.
